The Valley of the Queens is located on the west bank of the Nile River in Luxor, and it is a cemetery dedicated to the queens of the New Kingdom around (1550-1070 BC).
It is called in hieroglyphics (Ta-set-nefer) and means the place of the king’s sons.
The Valley of the Queens contains more Of the 90 tombs, the most famous is the tomb of Queen Nefertari, wife of Ramesses II.
This tomb is one of the most beautiful works of art in the history of ancient Egypt, as it is decorated with drawings depicting daily and religious life in that era.
The Valley of the Queens tombs were designed in a hidden place in the rocks, to prevent theft.
