The Temple of Habu, or the Western Ramesseum, or the Temple of Ramesses III, is one of the largest funerary temples in ancient Egypt.
Located on the west bank of the Nile River in Luxor, it was built during the reign of Ramesses III in the 20th Dynasty (1186-1155 BC) to be a temple for his worship.
The Temple of Habu has wall carvings of Ramesses III's military victories over the Sea Peoples, and the walls are decorated with carvings depicting daily life and funerary rituals.
The temple contains a large courtyard, a huge column base, and a group of rooms that were used for offerings and religious ceremonies.
