Saladin Citadel

is located on Mokattam Mountain, it was built to protect Cairo. It includes the Muhammad Ali Mosque, and the Tabia Tower. It includes the Military Museum with a collection of artifacts and weapons, in addition to the Jewel Palace, which was the residence of kings and princes.


Sultan Hassan Mosque

is located in the Citadel neighbourhood. It was built in the shape of a rectangle with an area of ​​7,906 square metres.
The height of its main facade reaches 36 metres, and the main door is made of decorated copper.
The height of the two minarets is 68 metres, and they are considered the highest minarets in Cairo.


Al-Rifai Mosque

is located in the citadel area. It was built in 1869 and was a mausoleum for the Alawite royal family. It includes the tombs of Khedive Ismail, King Fouad I, King Farouk, and the shrine of Khushiar Hanem. The tomb of the former Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.

Al-Muizz Street

 is the oldest historical street in Cairo, dating back to the Fatimid rule in the tenth century AD. It is an open museum of Islamic art, and contains Bab al-Futuh and Bab al-Nasr, the Al-Hakim Mosque by the command of God, the Sultan Qalawun Collection, the Al-Aqmar Mosque, Sabil, and the book of Abd al-Rahman Katkhuda.
