Friday, the grand opening of the “Treasures of the Pharaohs” exhibition, officially inaugurated by Mr. Sergio Mattarella, President of the Italian Republic, in the presence of Mr. Sherif Fathy, Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, and Mr. Alessandro Joli, Italian Minister of Culture, at the prestigious Scuderie del Quirinale hall of the Italian Presidency.
The exhibition will remain open to the public from October 24, 2025, until May 2026, offering visitors a rare opportunity to explore the timeless beauty of ancient Egyptian civilization and its priceless masterpieces.
🎨 A Celebration of Egyptian Heritage
The streets, squares, train, and metro stations across Rome are now adorned with the image of Queen Iahhotep, reflecting Italy’s deep admiration for Egyptian heritage. The event has already created a cultural buzz, with 40,000 tickets sold before the official opening and an expected daily attendance of 5,000–6,000 visitors.
Featuring 130 artifacts carefully selected from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir and the Museum of Art in Luxor, the exhibition narrates the story of Egypt through captivating themes such as royalty, religion, daily life, and the afterlife.
