Armani’s Future in the Balance: Fashion House Eyes 15% Stake Sale
One year after the death of legendary designer Giorgio Armani, the Italian fashion house is preparing for a major turning point: the potential sale of an initial 15% stake in the company.
LVMH, L’Oréal and EssilorLuxottica have been named as preferred potential investors under Armani’s will. The company’s CEO, Giuseppe Marsocci, has indicated that the stake could be shared among several investors, although no final decision has been made.
The planned sale is part of Armani’s succession strategy, which calls for the initial stake to be sold within 18 months of the founder’s death. The move could mark a new chapter for the independent Italian luxury brand.
