Flydubai Flight Makes Emergency Landing: Questions Remain as Investigation Continues

A Flydubai flight traveling from Dubai to Tel Aviv made an emergency landing in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, on September 30, following a serious incident in the cockpit.

According to initial reports, the co-pilot allegedly stabbed the captain, causing the aircraft to descend sharply from around 33,000 feet to 17,000 feet in less than a minute. Passengers and crew intervened to restrain the co-pilot, while other pilots on board helped regain control of the aircraft.

The plane landed safely in Tabuk, and both pilots were taken to hospital for treatment. The 174 passengers later continued their journey to Tel Aviv on a replacement flight.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances and possible motives behind the incident. Whether it was an attempted hijacking or another form of attack has yet to be officially established.
